Wines and Grilling

Without a doubt, wine is a perfect pairing for grilled meats, but exactly which wines best complement the unique flavor of grilled fare? While there is no hard and fast rule and wine selection is often a matter of personal preference, we do offer some food for thought. Try a red Zinfandel or Cabernet Sauvignon with red meats – the tannins blend nicely with the smoky flavor in grilled steaks and burgers and are mellowed to some extent by the fat content in these red meats.


BBQs & Outdoor Gatherings

‘Tis the season!  The season for BBQs, celebrations, family reunions . . . the gatherings are endless.

We think it’s also the best season for food.  Right now, fruits and vegetables are at the peak of freshness with strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and cherries as sweet as can be.  Peas, green beans, tomatoes, peppers and fresh herbs are fully-ripened and filled with natural flavors that seem to be missing in the wintertime.
